Our regular readers know how much we love the Omega Replica chronograph. The Omega Replica chronograph has long since emerged from the shadow of its elder brother, the Rolex Daytona to become a serious collector's watch. The watches are divided into four different series, the first of which was released in 1970. Other series were launched up until the 2000s. Summary:

1972 - Series Two 'Monte Carlo' Oysterdate

The 7149 was available with a plastic tachymeter, 7159 with a steel tachymeter, and 7169 with a 12-hour rotating bezel. The Monte Carlos, which retained the same case design as the Home Plates but had an upgraded movement was also available in blue/grey/orange and grey/black/orange.
